On vacation with an EV? Why not!?

In the days when many of you are preparing for the annual vacation, there are many worries running through your head. Have you prepared everything at home, bought everything you need for vacation, packed the most necessary things so you do not have to go shopping at the beach and... of course, you have to take some car sunshades for children at the back seats, water, first aid and many other thinks with you. That in addition to all that, would you consider also dealing with charging an electric car? Seriously?

Yes, why not!?. If you are driving from Zagreb to Kvarner islands, let us say to Cres or Lošinj. Perhaps you are planning to extend to northern Dalmatia; you have about 300 kilometers of driving in one direction. Any modern electric car with a battery capacity bigger than 40 kWh can make such a journey on a single charge. You do not believe in factory promises? We are answering with a question.

Are you speeding also when going to vacation and constantly driving over the road limit? In this case, you might be at the charging station after 200 kilometers.

But if you take the trip as a beginning of your vacation, shortly looking at the list of charging stations on your route, just in case, such a trip will not add additional worries, just the satisfaction of a peaceful, quiet and cost-effective trip.

When you get in line for the ferry, you will probably be the only one who can cool with the air conditioning. Everyone else in petrol and diesel cars will probably turn the engines off, not to overheat and pollute the line of cars.

You will pass your neighbors in the camp or in front of the apartment without a sound and without disturbing the surroundings.

You passed the first challenge, reached the goal, and now you need to find a charging station and charge the battery. On the islands less charging stations are available than on the mainland, but you will still find them easily in larger city centers and in front of shopping centers, hotels and marinas.

When you open the map of charging stations, you will be surprised how many there are. You will find them on Cres, Lošinj, Krk, and even on Vir, Vis and Dugi otok.

On vacation with an EV? There are good reasons for that, right!?
